I began my sabbatical with a meditation retreat in the first two weeks of January at the Insight Meditation Society’s Forest Refuge in Barre, Massachusetts. |
This is the first part documenting my trip to Thailand in the end of January and the beginning of February |
The second part of my trip to Thailand. |
After returning from Thailand, I stopped to see my sister in Irvine, California and also visit with my wife Philomena and son Andrew. Then I proceeded to Golden, Colorado to see the fast growing Jefferson Unitarian Church. After that visit, I continued traveling through the Rockies, down to Sante Fe, New Mexico and then on to Sedona and Phoenix, Arizona for the UUA’s Mid-Sized Church conference. |
A spring visit to Washington DC and Annapolis, Maryland to see the Unitarian Universalist congregation there. I was just in time to see the cherry blossoms! |
In this last leg of my sabbatical travels, I visited Wisconsin Unitarian Universalist congregations in Appleton, Madison, and Milwaukee with a side trip to Rockford, Illinois. These visits will be interesting to those wanting to understand congregational growth and development. |
